Bond Prediger, CPA

I was born and raised in Ponoka and returned after graduated from the University of Calgary – Haskayne School of Business with my Bachelor of Commerce. I have the privilege of working at Rowland, Parker and Associates since the completion of my degree in May of 2011. In September 2019 I passed the CFE exam and received my CPA designation. Ponoka offers the quality of lifestyle my husband, Steve, our daughter Foster and I enjoy. We built our home in Ponoka County where we raise Simmental cattle. In our spare time we enjoy riding, working out, and travelling with friends and family..

After graduating I worked as a Dietary Technologist until I had children. I wanted a stay-at-home job when my kids were growing up so I became a bookkeeper. Now that my kids are grown, I wanted a new bookkeeping challenge and to join the outside work world, which led me to Rowland Parker & Associates in October of 2013. I have lived in Rimbey and numerous other places, and came to Ponoka just over 16 years ago. I currently reside in Millet which has made working in the Wetaskiwin office accessible for me as well. My oldest daughter graduated in October 2021 from Chiropractic College and is currently practicing in Michigan, USA with her husband. My youngest daughter is expecting her second son May of 2022. So excited to have 2 grandsons! Of course being a Nana is one of my most favorite past-times, as well as reading, paddle boarding, and basically everything outdoorsy.

I joined the firm in September 2018 and couldn’t be happier with my decision. I was born in Saskatchewan, lived in Ponoka for my high school years and currently live in Lacombe. Brooke Boser

I started my employment with the Rowland, Parker family in January of 2020. My family moved to Ponoka in 2000, and It is where I have grown up and now call home. After high school I attended post-secondary school at NAIT and obtained a diploma in Business Administration – Accounting. The big city was never where I pictured spending my life, instead I preferred the comforts of a small community and now reside on a farm out of town with my sweetheart and our two beautiful children. I am proud to be a mom to my loving teenage step-daughter and mini farmer for a son. I love to spend my time with family, reading a good book, and enjoying as much time outside as I can.

Colleen Gadd

I was born and raised on a farm east of Ponoka. I married my high school sweetheart, Todd, and raised our 2 daughters on an acreage where we still reside today. I love spending time with our grandchildren, camping, and enjoy the peacefulness of country living. I started working in public practice as an accounting technician a few years out of high school, and after working on a contract basis with Rowland Parker for a while, I transitioned to a full time position in March of 2020.

Carolyn Gossen

My husband and I returned to Alberta in 2017, moving to Ponoka from Summerside, PEI to be in a central location closer to children and grandchildren. Over many years, I have worked my way up in the accounting industry to Senior Technician, and when given the opportunity in October 2018 to work for Rowland Parker & Associates and be close to home, there really was no decision to be made. I am very excited for the opportunity to continue my career in accounting in such a great work environment. Our combined family now has 7 children and 14 grandchildren, all living in various communities in Alberta, except one son, daughter-in-law, and 3 granddaughters who live in Tampa, Florida. A great excuse for a travel destination. We love to spend time with our family and friends and when time permits a little golf and curling.

Colleen Hibbard

I started working at Rowland, Parker & Associates in November 2019. I have done administration work my entire adult life in Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta. John and I have a combined family with 4 adult sons, 1 daughter in-law and 4 beautiful grandchildren. We enjoy camping, hunting & fishing. We shared our first trip to Riviera Maya in 2018 where we went snorkeling & touring and we can’t wait to go back. In my own spare time I love reading, running & paddleboarding.

Dana Schultz

I grew up on a small farm in rural Saskatchewan and moved to Alberta to attend post-secondary. After college, I started working in the agricultural industry where I met my husband Kyler. We were married in 2017 and we now live about 20 minutes east of Ponoka. I joined the RPA team in March 2022 and I love working alongside this incredible group of people. When I’m not at the office, I love spending time with family. I also enjoy spending time outdoors – my favourite activities are camping, biking, skiing… although if the weather is foul, I can often be found curled up with a good book!

Debbie Derwantz, CPA, CGA

I grew up in the County of Stettler on a farm, I married and moved to Whitecourt where we resided for 15 years. My husband accepted a transfer to the Joffre plant and we now live in Lacombe County and enjoy being back in central Alberta and closer to family. I started in the CGA program before I had children and thought I would have lots of free time to complete once they were born. My goal then changed to get my degree and designation before any of them completed University and I did accomplish this. I have worked in public and the private sector both before joining Rowland Parker & Associates. In my spare time I enjoy any outdoor activity and adventure travel.

Debbie Emes

I was born and raised in Ponoka. I married my high school sweetheart, Curtis, we raised our 3 children here, and we continue to live on an acreage just outside of Ponoka. I started working for Rowland Parker & Associates as an Accounting Technician in October of 2006. In my spare time I enjoy playing ball, skiing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

I grew up on a hog farm near Tees, spent my school years in Clive and Lacombe, and completed by Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Red Deer. Gianna Halbert

I started working at Rowland Parker & Associates during the income tax season of 2003. That same year my husband, Shawn and I had our first child, and I spent the next 11 years at home raising our two boys. I began working for RPA again in February of 2014. I grew up on a farm near Blackfoot, Alberta, where my parents and brothers still farm. I met my husband while I was still in high school, so decided to attend Medicine Hat College so that he wouldn’t have to make the 5 hour drive every other week to come visit me. We got married in 1996 and moved to Lethbridge so that he could attend University. We moved a few more times before settling in Ponoka in 2002. In my spare time I enjoy dancing, visiting with family and friends, and playing with our very busy border collie, Lily.

Kari Grant

I started at Rowland Parker & Associates in June 2014. When the opportunity presented itself I chose to switch jobs due to the great work atmosphere offered at the firm. I have 20 plus years of experience in administration support and accounting, mainly with small business. I came to Ponoka in Grade 2, moved away after high school, and eventually moved back. I am a Ponoka lifer!! I have an adorable havanese, Sulley, and he is definitely my baby….yes dogs are harder than children because they never grow up or move out! I am a photographer in my spare time. I enjoy all mediums of photography, but love new born photography the most.

Kohlby Reiss

I grew up in Alix, AB on a hobby farm until I began my Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Red Deer and have recently graduated in 2023. I joined the RPA team for a summer position in 2022 and had a great experience. Growing up in a small town I enjoyed the small-town atmosphere that Ponoka offered and when the opportunity presented itself to come back to RPA after graduation, I couldn’t say no. In my spare time I enjoy playing sports, camping, spending time with my cat and travelling.

I am currently the Firm Administrator and my other areas of specialty are Quickbooks and Taxprep, and I am the Assistant Onsite IT person. My community involvement over the years has included Victim Services, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Ponoka Minor Hockey, Ponoka Stampede, and the Ponoka & District Health Foundation. I enjoy spending time outside, working in my yard in the summer, and I keep active with the gym, hiking and curling....and trying to keep my 'very active' dog entertained! I also enjoy traveling, and am always exploring new activities, adventures or destinations that ultimately provide me with an ever-changing 'bucket list' to keep checking off.
